The Titans braved the 95 degree sun and the baking field turf to battle through 3 games on Sunday to earn the USSSA State Championship title, making them eligible for the Regionals in Oregon in July.

Great Pitching was the story of the day, as Turner Glenn and Zach Cokos turned in 1-hit performances against the Mill Creek Mudcats in the morning and afternoon games. Logan Miller was the early star, playing stellar defense agains the 'Cats --- snuffing out 2 bunt attempts, and being a royal pain on the basepaths. Seems like every time he's up to bat, he works himself over to 3rd base and into the other teams' heads.

The Championship game was a rematch with the Puyallup Raptors which featured an absolutely dominating pitching performance from Aleks Hansen who gave up just 1 run in 4 innings, and Jack Flynn who shut the door over the last 2 innings to close it down, and put an exclamation point on a 7-1 championship game victory.

This was a warriors weekend. The baking heat took its toll on everyone ... sending Drew Mclaurin home early on Saturday, and multiple Titans looking a bit woozy. Jake Delahanty toughed out the day with a sprained finger, and both Suedel brothers were banged up with the remnants of the flu and some torn up fingers. All in all, the boys were true warriors this weekend, and truly earned themselves the title "State Champions"
